Replacement Drum or Disc Brake Components for 3,500 lb Trailer Axle
Question:
Hi, I have an Escort trailer, roughly 22 years old. The 10 drum brakes are seized and I see you have marine grade drum replacements. To change mine, would I need 1x pair of AKUBRK35-D, 2x drum with hubs 8-247-50UDC, plus BRKH10B. Will these brakes. Do you have a disc brake option, to go in place of the drum set up,? I already have the coupling, brake lines, and

If you can verify that you have 3,500 lb trailer axles then yes the parts you mentioned would be correct for you. The brake assemblies # AKUBRK-35-D are correct, the hardware kit part # BRKH10B would attach them to your spindles, and then for a hub/drum you'd need the # 8-247-50UC3 and you'd be set.
Do go to a disc brake setup you would also be needing to replace the actuator/coupler that you have now as it would require a higher PSI rating. The kit you'd want for just the brake components would be the # KOD59FR. For a disc actuator you'd then also need the # DX56FR.
