7-Way Adapter for Highlander with 4-Way to Install Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller

Question:

I have a 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE. I had a hitch and 4 pin connector installed a couple years ago. We are now looking at a travel trailer and need to upgrade to a 7-way flat blade. I was looking at the Curt 57672 adapter along with using the Curt Echo 51180 brake controller. What wires need to be wired from the adapter? Im assuming the power wire and the ground. Do I still need the blue brake control wire connected, if so, where? It only mentioned connecting it to the brake controller in the basic instructions on the adapter. Im assuming that is a in vehicle mounted brake controller but need clarification. If you recommend a different or better adapter or kit please let me know. Thanks for your time.

We have a 4-way to 7-way adapter that was specifically designed for install of the Curt Echo # C51180 with the part # ETBC7L. This comes with all of the wiring and connectors needed to activate the 12 volt circuit of the 7-way which is the only additional circuit needed for the Echo to work. Basically a power wire from the adapter is ran up to the vehicle battery's positive post.
