Where Should Safety Cables Connect To On A Roadmaster Baseplate On A 2006 Nissan Xterra

Just had this base plate installed on my 06 XTerrabut one gotcha moment has stopped us from using it: where on earth do I attach the safety chains???

The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-344-3B have a tab with a hole on the bracket portion of the baseplate that can be used to connect your safety cables. You will most likely need to use some quick links # RM-910022 since the hole is fairly small. You'll want to make sure that the cables are attached to the bracket portion of the baseplate and not to the arms so that you have a strong connection to the frame of the Xterra.
Another option would be to wrap the Roadmaster 20" Safety Cable Extensions With Quick Links # RM-910648-20 around the frame rails and loop them back out the front of the vehicle for a connection point that the safety cables can connect to.
