What is Actual Torque Rating for Redline Ramps Springs # RS16933LH and # RS16933RH

Question:

2000 pounds is not a measure of torque. Could you please specify the torque rating of the springs. It may be 2000in-lb at 90deg? Or you can more easily specify the in-lb per deg. I can calculate it if provided accurate measurements of the wire diameter and coil ID. Anyone could then determine if this would suit their needs by weighing the ramp at its approximate center of gravity and measuring the distance from pivot spring shaft to CG. dist x weight = torque. Thanks,

The Redline Ramp Spring you referenced, part # RS16933LH, and the matching right-hand spring, part # RS16933RH, are intended primarily for use on equipment trailers, such as those used to transport a skid loader for example, not for utility-type trailers.

These springs have an inside coil diameter of approximately 1-1/2-inches (and are intended for a 1-1/2-inch shaft). The wire diameter as measured with a digital caliper is 0.465 inches.

I checked the Redline catalog and with my contact there and these springs are indeed identified as 2K. These are quite stiff and with hand pressure (the most I could apply) I could not deflect the spring at all.
