Transporting 2 E-Bikes and 4 Segway Scooters With a 2015 Toyota Camry
Question:
We want to haul 2 e-bikes on our Toyota Camry, using the Flint Hill carrier with a 60” ramp. Is it possible to do this? We don’t need the hitch to tow, we have a dually for heavy needs. But we do want to use the Camry to take the bikes, or to load 4 Segway scooters. We don’t have a hitch on the car now. So we were thinking of getting the Class 2 hitch, and using an adaptor for the 2” receiver. Advice ?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12107 is our highest tongue weight receiver we have for your 2015 Toyota Camry. This receiver is rated for up to 350lbs of tongue weight. With using an Adapter # e93YR this will reduce tongue weight capacity by 50% to 175lbs. With the weight of the Flint Hill Goods 29" x 49" Carrier w/ 60" Ramp # FHG69ZR being 77lbs and the adapter weighing 11lbs that will only leave you 87lbs of cargo you will be able to carry on the carrier.
We do have the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY74FR which is rated to carry 2 bikes up to 80lbs per bike. If you prefer a rack with a ramp the Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack # Y96FR is rated for carrying 2 bikes up to 66lbs per bike. It includes a 51" ramp.
The 19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 will likely be the best option for carrying your 4 Segway Scooters. This carrier will fit your 1-1/4" class II receiver and has a capacity of 300lbs while only weighing 30lbs itself.
