Recommended 4-Pole & 7-Way Wiring Harness For a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
Vehicle: 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/out towing package. I just installed an OEM Factory Class 3 Hitch with a hitch cutout slot for 7-way and 4-way plugs. Which of your wiring kits do you suggest to have trailer lights and trailer brakes? I want to be able to tow rental trailers that have trailer brakes up to 6,000 lbs as well as smaller trailers that use a 4-way plug.

For your 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I recommend using the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C62VR with the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7.
The # C62VR will plug directly into your factory OEM harness and will give your vehicle a 4-pole connector, which you will then be able to plug into # ETBC7 and convert your 4-pole to a 4-pole / 7-way connector.
This will give you the option to use both styles of trailers that require one or the other style connectors. I have attached a couple of install videos for you to check out as well.
