Base Plate For 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited w/ Rough Country Bumper & Blue Ox Tow Bar
Question:
I have a Jeep unlimited 2020 and currently has a plastic bumper but upgrading to a steel bumper Rough Country SKU 10647 and it seems that as long as the bumper doesnt extend lower than current plastic bumper we are ok... Can yall tell me if this base plate will work with new steel bumper? BX1139 We have a Blue Ox tow bar already from a previous jeep is a Blue Ox Ascent non-binding tow bar ITEM # BX4370. So would love not to have to buy a new tow bar too. We also have Roadmaster Diode 7-wire to 6-Wire flexo-coil kit too Item # RM-15267. Will this work as well? Thanks in advance!

That Blue Ox base plate is not compatible with your Rough Country bumper, just the factory bumpers. When I took a look at your Rough Country bumper it does have shackles on it, and so long as the bumper is rated for flat towing, you can use an adapter from Blue Ox, with the right one depending on the diameter of the D-ring opening:

- Blue Ox Off-Road Bumper Adapters for Blue Ox Motorhome Mounted Tow Bars - 1" D-Rings # BX88358
The good news is, these are both compatible with your Blue Ox Ascent Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX4370.
You're also good to go with your Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267, as it does fit your Jeep.
