There are a couple of options for brake controllers depending on whether or not your Fleetwood Discovery came with a 7-way connector from the factory. If your motorhome didn't come with one then you do not have the factory towing package and you will need to hardwire in a brake controller.

If you have the tow package then I highly recommend the Curt Echo In-Line Wireless Brake Controller item # C79DR. The Echo In-Line plugs in beneath your motorhome behind your 7-way. It attaches to the factory connectors and doesn't require any cutting or splicing. This will completely eliminate any need to hardware a controller.

It uses Bluetooth to communicate with your phone so you will never have to worry about losing signal. If your phone dies it automatically uses the default settings you program in. I have linked an installation and review video below.

If you do not have the tow package then you will want the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller item # RED24FR. This is a proportional brake controller that activates your trailer's brakes when your motorhome decelerates.

I like the Tow-Pro Liberty because of its unique installation method where the only visible portion is the control knob that's about the size of a nickel. The main unit is hidden away inside your dash to be completely out of the way and out of sight.

To complete your installation you will need the Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers item # RED69FR. I have linked a video of this brake controller being installed so you can see the process.
