Will Installing a Trailer Hitch Receiver On My 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Void My Manufacturer Warranty?
Question:
I bought a 2023 crosstrek and was going to have the class III hitch installed. Suburu then told me if I do that it will void my warranty. Is this true?

I have never heard of a receiver like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13382 voiding a manufacturers warranty. That said do understand if your 2023 Subaru Crosstrek is only rated to tow 1,500lbs and you exceed that amount the factory warranty would not cover any damaged parts due to you towing over the manufacturers specification. Just because the Receiver # C13382 is rated for up to 525lbs of tongue weight and 3,500lbs towing weight this will not increase your towing specifications from the manufacturer. So be sure to verify your weight capacities with your dealer or owners manual.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 will provide you with a 4-way flat connector. This connector will fit most small trailers you may tow and also can be used with Auxiliary Lights # C53201 if you are using a hitch mounted accessory which impairs the view of your tail lights.
