Recommendation To Prevent Damage Dragging Rear of Ford E-450 Class C RV on Steep Driveways

Question:

Looking for a solution to dragging the rear of my Class C E-450 RV on driveway approaches. How much rear lift could I expect out of these airbags above normal ride height for steep driveways? Also, how long is expected fill time when coupled with something like the Air Command II Xtreme Duty Compressor kit Item # F2549?

I recommend installing some skid wheels like the 4" Wheels # UF48-979014. These will contact the ground on steep driveways rather than the bumper or receiver digging into the concrete or asphalt. They use a 1/4" urethane layer to prevent damaging the driveway/road surface.

The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2153 are not designed to raise your Class C Ford E-450 RV. Instead they provide additional support to the factory suspension to reduce sag and provide a more stable ride. While you will likely see some rise out of adding these there is no way to say for sure how much if any you would experience.
