Comparing etrailer Class III and Draw-Tite Class IV Trailer Hitches for a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
Both these hitches Item # e98908 and Item # 76031 for my 2017 Nissan Pathfinder have the same tow capacity 6000lb and tongue weight 900lb ratings. Why would I buy the Class 4 over the class 3? Same model car. Is there a front receiver for it? Thanks

The main difference between the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98908 and Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76031 aside from their class rating is appearance. The etrailer has a hidden crosstube design and the Draw-Tite has a visible crosstube design. Therefore, I recommend the etrailer due to the better overall appearance which you can see in the photo below.
Please note, the hitches are both rated for more than the vehicle can handle so your actual rating (listed in owner's manual) will be much lower than either of these options so the higher rating is not really beneficial.
If you will be towing then you'll also need a few other things such as the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118670 and Curt Towing Starter Kit part # C45534 to complete your setup.
