Is the NOCO Genius GEN5X2 Mini Charger Safe To Mount In an Engine Compartment?
Question:
Cana NOCO Genius GEN5X2 Mini Charger be mounted inside of a ram truck engine bay? I want to mount this and plug it in when my truck is not in use for extended periods. I just don’t know if the component can withstand the heat of an engine bay when driving. I would hate to open my hood and find it melted or something. Thanks

I recommend going with the NOCO Genius Multi-Bank Smart Battery Charger # NOC24FR for your Ram truck. The NOCO Genius GEN5X2 # NOC34FR has a maximum storage temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit and should not be mounted where it might collect dust. As your engine bay can exceed this temperature and collect dust this would not be a good option.
The NOCO Genius Multi-Bank # NOC24FR will allow you to run the included clamps or a better option would be to install the Eyelet Terminals # 329-GC002 with the included 10' extension cables to an easily accessible area on your Ram. Then you would simply connect the wiring terminals when you plan on leaving it parked for long periods of time. As the main charger can then be used on other batteries when you are using your truck you can get additional Clamps # NOC96ZR, Eyelet Terminals # 329-GC002 and an Extension # 329-GC004 for other vehicles or equipment batteries you have.
