The trigger wire of the Jensen RV Stereo part # JWM60A is used for wiring up an external amp like if you wanted to install a subwoofer setup. The trigger wire is basically the wire that tells the amp to go ahead and turn on. The amp would use much heavier wire that runs directly to the battery for drawing power but the trigger wire is what tells it to start working.
