Troubleshooting Kwikee RV Steps Not Working with Switch
Question:
For no reason my Kwickee step will not stay open with ignition off irrespective of whether the manual step switch is up or down, I have used a pigtail and battery to check the steps and they work as they should. Is there any way to check the manual step switch inside the RV? Thanks

It's possible the 25 amp inline fuse of the Kwikee step switch part # LC371010 is blown and that's why you are seeing it no work properly. If you check out the diagram I attached you can also check to make sure the switch has all of the wires connected properly.
To bypass the switch and see if it's what's not working you could run the power wire that goes from the battery to the red or yellow wire directly.
