Comparing Class III Trailer Hitch Receivers For a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek

Question:

What makes one of the class III receivers better over another for my 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

The main differences between our class III receivers for your 2023 Subaru Crosstrek is the amount the receiver is visible.

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76209 is the most visible when it is installed. The cross tube along with the 2" receiver are both visible with this receiver. These can also affect your departure angle on steep driveways and on tall curbs. The cross tube does have a mounting flange to accept either a 4-Way Bracket # 18144 or 7-way Bracket # PK12711U.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13382 is a more hidden style class III receiver. This has a hidden cross tube with the 2" receiver being visible. This will give you a cleaner appearance than the Draw-Tite but you will have a similar issue on steep driveways and tall curbs. Curt offers their 4-Way # C58001 and 7-Way # C58000 for mounting either type of wiring connectors.

Finally the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7365 is our most hidden class III receiver. This receiver has a hidden cross tube and a removable receiver tube. When not installed you will not be able to notice a receiver is even installed. You will not have any issues with the receiver tube dragging on steep driveways or tall curbs when the receiver is removed. The wiring for this can be hidden up on the receiver cross tube for a clean appearance.
