Replacement Hardware Kit For A Curt Hitch On A 2021 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500

Question:

Hello, I recently installed the 13358 Class III hitch. Due to rust on the existing bolts, I opted to use anti-seize on the threads. I forgot to lower the torque on the bolts due to the addition of the anti-seize lubricant and think that I may have overtorqued the bolts as I used the 79 ft-lb. I was wondering if I should replace the bolts on the hitch and re-install them without lubricant, torqued to the specified 79 ft-lb. If so, do you know where I can get replacement hardware? Thank you!

Expert Reply:

If the bolts on your Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III # 13358 are a little over torque that is not a big deal and should not pose an issue.

If you don't feel good about it and would rather just replace the hardware, you are going to need M12 x 1.75 Hex bolts, with a .375 x 1.25 x 2.00" round hole spacer, with a M12 x 1.75 flange nut.

Or

You can use our replacement hardware kit # RHK which will contain all the needed hardware for installation. For the "hitch item number" you will just need to type 13358 for your hitch and you'll be good to go.
