To tow your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with your motorhome there are several things that you will need. You will need a tow bar, base plate kit, safety cables, tow bar wiring, and a supplemental braking system.

The tow bar installs on your motorhome and then connects to the base plates on your Jeep. I was able to find that your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a gross vehicle weight of up to 6500 pounds, so a tow bar that is rated for this weight that I recommend is the Roadmaster Blackhawk 2 # RM-422.

This tow bar is an all-terrain style with telescoping arms. It is a hitch mount, and will install on the hitch on your motorhome, and uses the quick disconnect system for connecting to the base plates on your Jeep.

The base plate kit that I recommend for your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the Roadmaster EZ5 # RM-521440-5. Please note that if your vehilce is a SRT-8, this base plate kit is not a fit. This base plate kit will install directly on your Jeep and will provide a connection point for the tow bar assembly. This base plate kit is compatible with the Roadmaster Blackhawk 2 tow bar system.

The next item that you will need for your flat towing system is a set of safety cables. For your towing set up I recommend the Roadmaster 80 inch Double Hook coiled safety cables # RM-653. These safety cables are rated for up to 10,000 pounds, and have hooks for attachment points at each end.

You will also need a tow bar wiring system, there are several choices for your vehicle. Since there is minimum clearance within the taillights on your Jeep, a bulb and socket wiring system is not an option. I recommend the Roadmaster Universal Tow Bar wiring kit # RM-154. This kit will install and will use the vehicle wiring to activate the taillights on your Jeep with the signals from your motorhome. You will need to install diodes in-line with this kit on your vehicle. I have included a video links showing this process on a vehicle similar to yours.

You will also need a supplemental braking system for towing your Jeep. I recommend the Roadmaster Even Brake Proportional System # RM-9400. This is proportional system and will active the brakes in the Jeep in proportion to the brake signal input from the motorhome. It also includes a wireless monitor that shows the braking activation in the Jeep while towing, and can notify of the battery status of your Jeep.

According to Roadmaster you might also need the seat adapter # RM-88287 for using the Even Brake in your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They also recommend using a stop light switch like the # RM-751449 with your supplemental braking system.

I have included links to the parts referenced above, several helpful articles, and a few videos for your reference.
