The dimensions I'm seeing for an Atwood GC6AA-8 RV water heater are 12-1/2" H x 16" W x 18" D so cutout hole would need to be modified to frame in the Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB64FR. The access door is 14-15/16" tall x 14-15/16" wide so you would end up with a bit of a gap.

I recommend going with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR instead since it has a 16" x 16" door to cover up the opening. You'll still most likely need to frame in the unit a bit with some wood so the mounting flange has something to screw into and if you wanted to go the extra mile could use some 1/8" thick plywood to cover any gaps. I recommend measuring your current door and if it's a bit larger than 16" you can go with a different kit like the 16" x 18" # FR48SR or 18" x 18" # FR68SR.

You'll also need some butyl tape # AL28FJ and Non-Sag Sealant # 344270341437-1 to form a proper watertight seal around the door/unit and your trailer.

In my opinion the Furrion units perform better than the Fogatti units and I've had little to no troubleshooting issues with them, whereas the Fogatti units tend to have more issues.

I've attached a short video below where Dave will walk you through the installation process. If you have any other questions then let me know.
