What Portion Of The Front Bumper Cover Needs Trimmed To Install The EcoHitch # 306-X7352?

I read what I could find and looked at the pictures provided. I found the front bumper requires minor trimming. What specifically does this entail? Grinding/cutting the actual bolted on front bumper which connects between the two main frame beams or just cutting the front bumper cover to allow the receiver hitch opening to protrude.

You will need cut out a 5" x 3" rectangle on the lower portion of the bumper cover for the EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7352 to fit your 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500. There is a raised portion of the cover that will act as your guide lines for center and the width you will need. As this is a plastic portion of the cover you will be able to cut it out using a small saw like a reciprocating saw or hacksaw blade.
