Currently Roadmaster only make 2 crossbar style base plates for your 2013 Ford Edge. The Base Plate # 4408-1 is for non-ecoboost models without adaptive cruise control, while the Base Plate # 524426-1 is for non-ecoboost models with adaptive cruise control. Both of these will require a Crossbar Assembly # 910021-00 to connect to the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676.
You can use the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2628 to attach to the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-677 as this tow bar is outfitted with ends to connect to the Blue Ox base plate. Then you will not need a crossbar like with the Roadmaster base plates above.
The RoadMaster Nighthawk All Terrain Towing Combo Kit # RM-9284-2 contains the wiring needed for your tail lights on your Ford Edge. It also includes a storage bag, cover, locks and lube to protect your tow bar. You will also need a Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 as the battery on your vehicle will drain while being flat towed. This will also ensure that your supplemental braking system does not completely drain your battery while in tow.
For a braking system I recommend the Demco systems. There are 2 kits depending on the type of brakes your motorhome uses. The Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # DM26VR is for motorhomes that have air brakes. While the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR is for motorhomes using hydraulic brakes. Both these systems are designed to only provide braking to your Edge when the motorhome is using its brakes. This prevents false braking that other systems are unable to prevent. Both systems are installed on the vehicle so there is no additional set up when you connect your Edge to your motorhome.
