Can 4-Way Trailer Wiring Plugs Connect to Battery for Interior Light

I have a 5x8 enclosed trailer with a light inside. The light only works when the trailer is hooked up to the vehicle electric. Id like to use the light when I am at camp and not hooked up. Can I wire the 4pin plug adapter to a 12 volt battery?

Yes it would be possible to wire a 4-way to a 12 volt battery if you wanted to. You'd need a 4-way like the part # HM48030 and the part # HM48110 to run one of them to your battery and the other to your light. Otherwise you could run the vehicle side 4-way to the battery.

I think you may have your part numbers swapped around but the part numbers you mentioned all can work together. The 2-ways part #337TC1002 and #337TC2002 are perfectly compatible with each and the single pins #PK11851 and #PK11852.
