Recommended Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for Industry Standard Rails on a 2019 F-350 w/ 6-3/4' Bed

Good afternoon, I have a 2019 f350 with the companion hitch 18k pounds. I have hit my piller twice while pulling my 5th wheel camper. Is there any fix for this or was I sold the wrong hitch.? It us mounted in farthest back position and truck has a 67 bed. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance

The only two 18,000 lbs B&W 5th wheel hitches are the Patriot item # BWRVK3270 Sliding Hitch and the Patriot item # BWRVK3255 standard hitch. The Companion's are rated at 20,000 lbs or higher but the slider has the same 12" of travel.

For your 2019 Ford F-350 with a 6-3/4' bed you are going to want to either use a sliding hitch or a rotating pin box to get enough clearance so you don't hitch your truck with your trailer.

The B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider item # BWRVK3270 mounts to industry standard rails and provides you with 12" of travel when making tight turns. If this is what you have and you are still making contact then you will need to replace your 5th wheel hitch. If you do not have a slider then you will need the Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider item # BWRVK3270.

For a sliding hitch with a 14" range of travel you will want the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider item # DM8550035. This hitch will mount to the same industry standard rails that the Patriot does.

To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector for Aluminum Beds - 7' Long item # C57008. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
