Availability of a 5th Wheel Hitch That Can Be Used With a Slide in Camper On the Same Truck

Is there a 5th wheel hitch available that can easily be removed to allow for my slide in camper? Are there any mounting rails available that are no taller than 3/4? Any other solution to allow f/camper in bed?

Yes There is a system that most likely will work so that you can use a fifth-wheel hitch and a slide in camper on the same truck (not at the same time). You will have to measure to see if the slide in will clear the Pucks that are installed in the bed of the pickup on the M5 Series 20K Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch by Reese, item # RP30921. Custom fifth wheel rails are installed under the truck bed, allowing for unrestricted truck bed use when the fifth wheel is removed, and four pucks are installed through the bed to accept the fifth-wheel hitch when needed. These pucks protrude approximately 7/8 to 1 inch, depending on your truck, above the bed and this is the measurement that you will have to be sure your slide in camper will clear or set down on to.
If this system will work for you then you will need to purchase an installation kit for your specific vehicle.
