Troubleshooting A Bulldog N500200 A-Frame Jack That Only Manually Works

Question:

I was retracting the jack when it stopped lowering. The motor will still make a sound in both the extend and retract directions, but the jack won’t move. I was able to finish lowering it with the manual bypass, but would like to get it working. Thanks in advance

Since you were able to manually lower your Bulldog Powered Drive Trailer Jack # BD500200 it leads me to believe that the gears are fine and the issue lies with the motor. I recommend first checking the power to ensure it's getting a full 12v and that the ground is properly attached to the bare metal of the trailer frame.

If power/ground isn't the issue then the motor most likely needs to be replaced.
