Electric Brake and Hub/Drum Assembly Recommendations for a 3,500 lb Axle
Question:
I recently bought an older 5x10 trailer. it appears to have a 3500lb axle based upon the bearings. I am considering putting electric brakes on it. the wheels/hubs are 5 on 5. Do you have a drum brake kit for this? the axle has backing plate flanges

Thank you for the information!
For a 3,500 lb axle you need the 10" Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA which mounts using 4-bolts. Then for for the hub side of things you need the Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-550-35-EZ-K which has a 5 on 5" bolt pattern and uses inner bearing L68149 and outer bearing L44649. If this matches what you have then you're good to go!
Please note you'll need some 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1, Butt Connectors # DW05745-10, and a breakaway kit like part # 3802346 to complete your electric brake setup.
