If you would like a cargo carrier with a ramp I recommend the Reese 32 inch by 48 inch Cargo Carrier # PS10401-10402. This carrier itself weighs 101 pounds and can support up to 400 pounds of cargo.

This carrier is designed for use with 2 inch hitch receivers and has a ramp that may make loading your lawn mower easier. Since it has a deeper basket design it would be beneficial for you moving large flat bags of soil, or other yard work supplies. There are built in tie down loops for securing your cargo.

If you would like a cargo carrier without the ramp included you might like the 20 inch by 48 inch carrier # 6502. This carrier is also designed for use with 2 inch hitches and has a carrying capacity of 500 pounds. This particular cargo carrier only weighs 48 pounds.

The carrier that you referenced is intended for use with 1-1/4 inch hitches only, and would not be compatible with a 2 inch hitch without using an adapter sleeve like the Brophy # HT02.

Please check the tongue weight capacity of your Curt hitch, and your Subaru Outback, and do not exceed the lowest rated component of your system. The highest tongue weight capacity of the Curt hitches that we carry for a 2014 Subaru Outback is 350 pounds, but please check your specific hitch to make sure.

You will need to include the weight of the cargo carrier itself and the cargo that you are hauling. That is one of the main reasons that I recommended lighter weight cargo carriers for you.

Also please check the instructions on your Curt Hitch, because many of their hitches require the use of a stabilizing strap when supporting non-towing loads. If you need this stabilizing strap it is part # 18050.

I have included a link to the products listed above and a couple of demonstration videos for your reference.
