Can Curt Trailer Wiring Harness for 2011 Toyota Highlander Be Grounded Without Drilling
Question:
I noticed on my 2011 Highlander that there is a screw/stud under the dash by the white connector that appears to be a place i could ground the converter without using the supplied screw. Is this a good idea? If so do you know what size nut I would need? If not, what is a good spot to use the supplied screw to ground? Is it self taping or do I need to drill a hole? Thanks.

It's not required to drill a hole for the ground with the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C56217 on a 2011 Toyota Highlander. I have attached a video for you on a newer model which shows a possible factory ground you can use without drilling another hole. If you have found a different one you want to use that is okay as well but it will be up to you as far as what socket is needed for said ground.
