I recommend replacing your old Atwood GA6-7 water heater with a tankless setup like Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 41,800 Btu - Black # LSB44FR. This is worth the upgrade due to the fact that it is more efficient since it only heats up water when necessary, and it has unlimited heated water so there won't be any cold showers.
The cut-out dimensions are 13" wide x 13" tall x 17-3/4" deep and the access door dimensions are 14-15/16" tall x 14-15/16" wide. You will need to modify the cut-out, but it won't be too difficult to fit this in place and hook everything up. One last thing you need is the Camco RV Water Heater Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve # CAM10423.
