Do I Need A Pressure Relief Valve For My Fogatti Tankless Hot Water Heater

Question:

I was told by Fogatti that there is a pressure relief valve included and over heating protection on the unit, so why is the Camco Valve still needed they also mentioned that the Camco Valve has set off limits of 210F and 150PSI that the tankless water heater would never reach that high of a temperature or pressure as they are maxed at 123F and 116PSI So why do y’all suggest it? I have attached pictures for reference.

A pressure relief valve is necessary for the Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 41,800 Btu - Black, part # LSB44FR, per the instructions and in accordance with ANSI standards. It appears this tankless water heater only comes with an included pressure relief valve on the Canadian model. The Camco RV Water Heater Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve - 1/2" Valve w/ 4" Probe, part # CAM10423, is our recommended pressure relief valve. It comes from the factory set at 150 PSI.

The instruction manual references the codes this product must conform to during installation. The pressure relief valve is covered under those codes and the instructions go into more detail about why it is needed.

I have included product description links, video review links for the Fogatti RV water heater and the Camco RV pressure valve. There will also be a copy of the page about relief valves from the Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater instruction manual below.
