Can the SureCall Flare Cell Phone Signal Booster Be Used w/ Tall Tree's and Unknown Tower Location
Question:
My cabin is located in a pine forest location with most all trees exceeding the height that Id be able to mount the antennae. How is this going to impact the reception and if you dont know where the nearest cell tower is, will the device give me any indication on signal strength?

While ideally there would not be impediments such as trees blocking the SureCall Flare 3.0 In-Home Cell Phone Signal Booster # SC63MR, it can still be used. The best way to test this would be using your phone to find the location with the strongest signal. You would then want to mount the outside antenna as high as possible and facing your closest tower. If you do not know the location of you closest tower, you can go to http://www.antennasearch.com to find it.
The SureCall Flare 3.0 In-Home Cell Phone Signal Booster # SC63MR only boost a present signal. If you have no signal coming in, then it will not create a signal. The best way to find the strongest signal is to use your phone in "field test mode" to read the decibels your phone is receiving. I have included a picture that shows how to do this depending on your phone type.
I have included a link to the instructions which goes over more in depth how to install and use the signal booster.
