Locating Cold Side Of Stop Light Switch On 2019 Chevrolet Express 3500 For Brake Controller Install

2019 Chevrolet Express 3500. Should I be using the yellow or tan wire going to break pedal?

It sounds like you're looking for the cold side of the stop light switch for a brake controller installation on your 2019 Chevrolet Express 3500. I don't have the information on the wire color so the only way to determine which wire to use is with a circuit tester like # PTW2993. It will be the wire that only has power when the brake pedal is pressed.
There is, however, another wire you can use on the passenger side instead. We installed a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 on a 2019 Chevy Express Van like yours where we used the third brake lamp. You can find this wire in the body control module, it is a pink colored wire. If you check out the installation video below you can see the wire if you start watching at the 11 minute mark.
