Can The Thule Hullavator Be Used To Carry Multiple Kayaks?

Question:

I have a hullavator. My friend says that I can strap another kayak on my roof next to it by attaching straps to the hullavator the same as you would to the Thule stacker. Im not sure about that. Sounds reasonable but should that be done?

Through you may technically be able to do what you're describing with the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist with Tie-Downs # TH898, however it is not recommended and is not the way it was designed to be used.

You'd also need to check the maximum roof weight carrying capacity to ensure that the two kayaks you are potentially carrying don't overload your roof. The Thule Hullavator # TH898 by itself has a weight of 40-lbs, so you'd need to keep that in mind as well.

I know you already have the Thule Hullavator, however to carry the two kayaks you're wanting correctly, I highly recommend using the Thule The Stacker # TH830 instead, as this was specifically designed to work with multiple kayaks.
