Do LED Tail Lights Impact Hitch and Wiring Selection on 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
Does it make any difference if the vehicle tail lights are LED or not?

Expert Reply:
Having LED or incandescent tail lights on your 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan will not make a difference for a hitch and wiring. All of the custom wiring options are designed to handle whatever you have on your van. For a hitch I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75579. This features a bolt-on installation and a concealed cross tube so only the receiver will be visible at the back.
For wiring I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118534. This will plug into the connection points behind your rear tail lights. Once installed, you will be able to power your trailer's signal lights.
If you need a ball mount, I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit comes with two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
