Hitch Height for Curt Hitch that Fits 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
hi. i may trade my 2019 Subaru ascent for a 2023 Subaru Outback limited XT. I have an off-road tear with 20inch of clearance. that works good with my lock and roll hitch, since the ascent has receiver height of 20. do all of the available hitches have the same receiver height? do the horizontal, under bumper hitches have more height than the the unde mounted ones? it think the outback only has maybe 12inch of hitch height.?? Do you know the hitch height of the outback? thanks,

Not all vehicles will have the same trailer hitch height. It's very common for the heights between vehicles to be different. For example the Curt hitch part # C67JR had a height of 16 inches from the ground to the top of the hitch opening when we installed it on a similar 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon. In these situations we have Lock N Roll Articulating hitches like the part # 336VS503505 which offer ability to compensate for height differences as this can do a rise and drop of 4-1/4 inches. Since you have a 20 inch coupler height this would work well for you.
