Question:

Hello, I am flat towing a 1990 Bronco II I have already purchased 411-1 base plate kit. I have a Blue Ox tow bar. Will the RM-033 adaptor be the correct one?

Expert Reply:

The RoadMaster Base Plate to Blue Ox and Demco Tow Bars Adapter # RM-033 will connect the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # 411-1 to the following Blue Ox tow bars:

Blue Ox Adventurer, Avail, Alpha, Acclaim, Allure, Aventa, Ambassador, Alexxa, Trion, Aventa II, Aventa LX and Aladdin.

If you have the Ascent then you'll need to use the # BX88178.

If you have the Rangefinder II then you'll need the # RM-037.

If you haven't gotten all of the other components to flat tow your 1990 Ford Bronco II then I have the following recommendations:

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-1676-7. This will transfer the brake/turn signals from your motorhome through to your Bronco's tail lights.

Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524. This system has a remote that easily lets you see when the brakes are being applied and adjust the brake settings all from your motorhome. The included charge line kit will keep your Bronco's battery charged while you tow.

Safety Cables: RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643. These safety cables have a coiled design to help prevent them from dragging on the ground and being damaged.
