I have a newer type 3500 lb Dexter axle after6/02. It currently does not use the tang type retaing washer. Can I replace the current nut and retainer with a castle nut and use a tang washer? Also do you carry the Dexter Retainer Kit #K71-622-00? Do you carry a sustitution for kit 71-622-00? Thank you.

The Dexter retainer kit K71-622-00 will allow you to convert your 3,500lb axle manufactured after 6/2002 to use the new retainer. While we do not have this kit we do carry all the parts of the kit. You will need 2 of the Nut Retainers # 6-190, 2-D Washers # 5-23 and 2-Spindle Nuts # 6-191.

The adapter part #K22590A that you referenced is designed to fit the fitting size of Kodiak brake systems. This has a 90-degree bend and measures 1/8" NPT on one end and 3/16" FIF on the other end.

Yes, you can simply use the nut retainer part #6-191 on your spindle nut instead of the tang washer setup and it would work just fine. The EZ lube fitting would not be an issue at all.
