Replacement AC Unit for Dometic that is Quieter and Installs Easily

Hello, My RV A/C unit compressor is not functioning. I installed a softstart module last year, and it has the appropriate green light illuminated when the A/C is turned on, but still no cold air. Is it more likely that the A/C compressor is gone and I need a new A/C, or could the Softstart module be defective? In the event that its the compressor, what do you recommend as a replacement unit. I would like something thats not as loud as the Dometic, is a direct replacement and possibly has the softstart technology built in. Thanks,

It's hard to say from here if the problem is the Softstart or if the problem is the compressor so best option would be to have an HVAC person come out and check out the setup and see if they can find the problem. I'd say it's most likely a compressor or component on the AC unit.

The Advent Air AC unit part # ACDOM135B is a quieter and efficient unit that would work great as a replacement for your Dometic setup as it actually was designed to replace Dometic units so the wiring would plug right in and you'd be able to use your existing controls. Also it comes with a start capacitor as well.
