Installing a Weight Distribution Hitch to an Enclosed Frame Trailer
Question:
Hi, I am considering a 400-800 lbs. WD hitch. Most instructions are for connecting to an open A frame trailer. How can the trailer ends be connected to a solid center frame? Thank you,

If you are talking about a pole tongue trailer then there are adapters available, item # RP3280 and item # RP58393, that you can use to connect to the frame and then attach the brackets. The RP3280 will not work with the Reese SC Weight Distribution Systems, while the RP58393 will work with all Reese systems, with the exception of those equipped with the Dual-Cam Sway Control.
If you have an A-Frame trailer that is enclosed in the center then you can use the bolt on chain hanger kit, item # RP58305, and will have to use the trailers jack to lift both the trailer and the vehicle at the same time to attach the spring bars on the Reese Weight Distribution Kit, item # RP67509.
