How To Wire A Trailer To Connect To The Tow Vehicle Electrical System
Question:
I’m wiring my trailer- where do run my aux power from the tow vehicle? To the converter? Where do I connect on the converter? Or does the power wire go from the tow vehicle directl to the battery? Please help, thank you in advance

When wiring up your trailer you'll want to install a junction box # e99009 to have a nice organized place for your wiring connections. The 7-way cable # A10-7W8 will go from the junction box and connect to the 7-pole socket on your tow vehicle. Each wire is labeled in the wiring diagram for the cable and will go to the corresponding posts in the junction box.
From the junction box you'll then run the wires to you battery and other corresponding components. I've attached a video below where I'll walk you through the installation of a junction box and I've also attach our help article on trailer wiring to help walk you through this process.
The Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center with AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger # PD4135K you referenced is going to wire to the shore power inlet on your trailer and to the battery. Your tow vehicle will not power the converter.
