Troubleshooting Stoplight Circuit of 2011 Toyota Tacoma Trailer Wiring Not Functioning
Question:
I have a 2011 Toyota Tacoma. I installed a hitch and trailer wiring T harness from you 10 years ago and has worked great. However, my brake lights no longer work on my trailer. I bought a 4 pin tester and the brake lights of the truck work, but not at the 4 pin tester on the vehicle side. Can’t be a fuse right since truck break lights work? Do I need to replace T harness? Thank you

It does sound like the converter box has shorted out and you would need to replace it with the part # 118496 which is correct fit for your 2011 Toyota Tacoma. If the blinker circuits are still functioning on the trailer wiring but the brake light circuit is dead then that would indicate the circuit board isn't functioning properly and would need replaced.
