Can the Curt X5 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter be Used with a Sliding Pin Box
Question:
I have a 2011 Dodge 2500 Mega Cab. if this adapter is used with a Reese 30046 5th wheel hitch would I be able to use a sliding king pin box?

Expert Reply:
You can use the Curt X5 adapter # 16310 with a sliding 5th wheel trailer hitch but the adapter has not been tested with a sliding pin box on a 5th wheel trailer. I spoke with my contact at Curt and he said that it would not be a problem so you can use it. I have included a link to a video review of this adapter for you.
If you are talking about a Sidewinder or Reese Revolution pin box you cannot use any adapters with either of those pin boxes. It creates too much stress on the adapter and trailer.
