Can I put bed rails in my truck for a fifth wheel when I already have a Bandw fifth wheel hitch?

If you already have a B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch then all you need to install standard base rails is an adapter, the Demco 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter part # DM6140 or the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter part # 16310. These adapters drop into the gooseneck hitch opening and provide a set of industry standard above bed base rails that will work with pretty much any fifth wheel hitch for the exception of auto-sliding fifth wheel hitches which create too much stress of a singular connection point.

That said, there is a fifth wheel hitch designed specially for the B&W Turnoverball without any sort of adapter and that is the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # BWRVK3500 or part # BWRVK3400. It would be a real shame to have the B&W Turnoverball and not use the B&W Companion because this is highly regarded as the best fifth wheel hitch on the market so this is what I strongly recommend. The B&W Companion has very thick locking jaws which grip the kingpin tight therefore give a great ride, a cam-action handle which allows you to uncouple on uneven ground with minimal force, and a two piece design so you can save your back getting it in and out of the truck bed.

Please note, you can not install above bed base rails that attach to the frame if you have a gooseneck hitch already installed because they mount in the same location.
