Recommended Upgraded Equalizer for 2016 Surveyor 247BHDS

Question:

2 part question: Recommended one for a 2016 Surveyor 247BHDS? When I measure axle to axles, it is about 31 1/2inch center axle to center axles, the leaf spring brackets gap at the stock brackets are about 5 1/2inch apart. Is the Dexter K71-652-00 the recommended Dexter model? Does that include the stabilizer and wetbolts? If I went with the Morryde, is it CRE3000 + MR68ZR to get the same apples-to-apples comparison?

The correct equalizer upgrade kit for your 2016 Surveyor 247BHDS is the one that is the closest match to your current equalizer. I'm not 100% sure what your 5-1/2" measurement was but it sounds like the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit - Double-Eye Springs - Tandem Axle - 6,000 lbs # K71-652-00 will be the best fit. This measures 5-5/8" long from center hole to center hole.

The MORryde Rubber Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers - 33" Wheelbase - 8K # MR87ZR measures 6-1/2" long. If you find that your equalizer is closer to this length then I would choose it instead. In order to make this the equivalent of the Dexter kit you would need the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers - 2-1/4" Long Shackle Straps # MR46ZR.

I have attached some installation videos for your reference. If you find that your equalizer length is something drastically different feel free to reach out and I will help you find the best fit for your trailer.
