Does the load rating apply to both the upper and lower receivers can I tie with either one?

Expert Reply:
The tongue weight rating for the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter for Tow Bars # RM-077-2 is for both receivers. If you were to only use one then you can load it up to 400 lbs but if you are using both then it's a combination.
The weight rating has more to do with the shank than the actual receivers so the shank itself can only handle 400 lbs.
