Can Any Hitch be Used for Towing with a 2022 Ford Ranger
Question:
I see the Draw-Tite hitch is rated for larger trailers. If I install this on my 2022 Ranger does this mean I can tow that large of a trailer?

According to the 2022 Ford Towing Guide if your 2022 Ford Ranger has the 53R towing package then you can tow up to 7,500 lbs. To meet the full towing potential, you could either use the Curt Hitch # C13417 for the etrailer hitch # e63ZR along with weight distribution. The weight distribution will increase the 6,000 pound capacities of this hitches to 8,0000 pounds which is more than your Ranger allows.
Without the 53R tow package it looks like Ford calls out a 3,500 lb towing weight capacity so in this case you can use still use either hitch. The etrailer hitch has a moder black matte finish that is more rugged and resistant to wear over the glossy black finish that the Curt offers.
If you don't already have wiring pick up the T-One # 22124 and for a ball mount I recommend checking out the B&W Tow & Stow # BWTS10048B because of it's durability and versatility.
