Is Extra Wiring Harness Required for Installation of Redarc Brake Controller on 2016 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
Do I need to purchase a extra harness with the Redac Liberty or elite unit. My camper is a 2 axel. Any benefit to the elite ?

In order to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR on your 2016 Tacoma with the tow package you will want the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness # RED99FR. This wiring harness will plug into the port under your dash. The only other option would be to use the universal wiring harness but that would serve no purpose since you have the factory port.
The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR ads the user-controlled mode, which the Liberty does not have. Realistically this adds no benefit unless you are going to be using this for off-road use.
