Can the curt c17005 hanger be used on a aluminum framed trailer?

To my understanding you'll want to use the standard clamp system that comes with the weight distribution system like what we see with the Curt MV # C17063 you were looking at when it comes to an aluminum trailer simply because aluminum frames aren't as robust as steel so drilling through them for a bracket kit like part # C17005 could damage the integrity of the frame.
The final word on weight distribution systems on aluminum trailer frames comes directly from the manufacturer though so if you reach out to your trailer manufacturer they will be able to give you better guidance on what they deem is acceptable for use with their trailers.
