Is RV Hand Pump Water Faucet Metal or Plastic

Is this hand pump real metal with a chrome finish, or just chrome plated plastic?

The RV Hand Pump Faucet part # 37297025 is a plastic that has a chrome finish on it. This allows it to be lighter in weight which is a very common for RV interior components since it allows them to be lighter weight since towing capacities of the vehicles are a factor. If all of the RV interior components were as heavy and as heavy duty as house components the RVs would weight so much that only heavier duty vehicles would be able to tow them. That said this isn't a low quality component and will hold up really well to normal use. The reviews from our customers who have it are really great as well.
