Needed Wire For Rewiring Electric Trailer Brake

Having issues with my trailer brakes and I think the wires running in my axels are rubbed to metal. We have a lot of miles on tandem trailer and need a spool to run across from hub to hub on both. Thanks

For rewiring your brakes, I recommend the 12 gauge # 12-2-1. This is a strand of 2 heavy-duty 12-gauge wires, color coded for easy identification and jacketed individually and then together. This meets SAE J1128 specifications up to 50 volts and its insulation is rated to 105 degrees Celsius. This is sold per the foot.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
