Thule 754/480 Can slits be cut in old-style square bars to use in the newer system?

If you want to try to make matching slits in your older Thule square crossbars to match what their newer-style crossbars fit, like the Rapid Traverse Feet # TH480R, then any warranty from Thule would be void if something happened with that roof rack.
We have found that the Inno square crossbars have the same dimensions as the older Thule square bars though so if you let me know the year/make/model of your vehicle I can see if they have legs and a fit kit that work with your vehicle so you can still use the crossbars you currently have.
